The big Carrefour in Heraklion has a pretty good selection of electrical items but the smaller Carrefour supermarkets are more restricted, often to smaller items and not much choice. We bought a washing machine from there, mostly because we had a height restriction that most machines didn't meet and they had a model that did. Their prices are pretty good. Other electrical/electronic items we have bought from chains like Electronet or Expert. You will find both in Heraklion for sure although, being a West Ender, I couldn't tell you exactly where. These operate like a franchise so you get chain buying power but small shop service. Multirama and Elektroniki Athinon are more like a conventional chain but always worth a look. The other big chain, Kotsovolos, is owned by Dixons and the staff "training" is identical. Often quite big so a good place to have a look round and then buy elsewhere. |
Never looked for bedding specifically in Carrefour but they do have some things. The Greeks still tend to go for sheets and blankets rather than duvets and bright patterns seem to be de-rigour. Nothing like wakening up to a bright orange tigers head staring back at you. Fitted sheets seem pretty uncommon. Obviously everything exists but you might need to search a bit harder.
